MANITO CHAMBER CHATTER

The Manito Area Chamber of Commerce met for its regular meeting at 7:00 am on Friday, April 4 at “Just like Home”.  President Anthony Parkin presided over the meeting.

Members present:    Carol Palmer, Laurie Corr, Rosemary Palmer, Todd Hellrigel, Mark Meyer, Rayeann Meeker and Nancy Proehl .

Board president, Anthony Parkin opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.

Secretary’s Report and Treasurer’s Report were given and filed.

Chamber membership sign up continues. A reminder will be sent to those who have not paid.

Rayeann presented a plan to solicit help for the basket auction which was approved. It was agreed that the chamber would offer groups at the high school the chance to apply to partner with the chamber for the auction and to receive a share of the profits.  Rayeann will prepare an application.

Townwide garage sales will be held April 25 and 26.  To be included on the map, participants should register at Lee Printing.

Shawn is working on the Business Spotlight each month for the newspapers and the website.

There has been positive feedback on the billboard erected on the Manito blacktop.               

Welcome Wagon report was given by Rosemary.
